Which iPhone models support Tap to Pay

Tap to Pay on iPhone is available on iPhone XS and all newer models. Here's the complete list:

Requirements beyond the iPhone model

In addition to having a compatible iPhone, you'll need:

• iOS 16 or later (we recommend updating to the latest iOS)
• A Morgan AI account with payments enabled
• An internet connection when taking a payment

What about older iPhones?

iPhones older than the XS (iPhone X, 8, 7, and earlier) do not support Tap to Pay because they have an older generation NFC chip that does not support merchant payment acceptance.

If you're using an older device, you can still use Morgan AI for invoicing, income tracking, expense recording, and sending payment links. The only feature that requires a newer iPhone is Tap to Pay.
