Morgan AI, Inc. (“Morgan AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Morgan AI mobile applications and website (collectively, the “Service”), how we use and share it, and what choices you have.
This policy applies to business owners and account holders who use Morgan AI. If you are a customer paying a Morgan AI user through an invoice or payment link, that user's privacy practices may also apply to you. Questions? Email hello@trymorgan.ai.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
Account information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form). You may optionally provide your business name, phone number, and a profile photo.
Business and identity information
To enable payment features, we collect business name, address, business type, tax identification number, date of birth, and government ID details. This is required by financial regulations and processed through Stripe.
Bank account information
When you connect a bank account for payouts, account details are collected and stored by Stripe. Morgan AI does not store your full bank account credentials.
Customer records
If you use customer management features, we store the names, email addresses, and phone numbers you enter for your customers. You control this data.
Financial records
Invoices, expenses, receipts, income records, and notes you create within the app are stored on our servers to provide the Service.
Communications
Messages you send to us for support, feedback, or other inquiries.
Information collected automatically
Payment transaction data
When you accept card payments, we receive transaction records including amount, date, status, and the last four digits of the card used. Full card numbers are processed by Stripe and are not stored by Morgan AI.
Usage data
We collect data about how you interact with the app, including features used, screens visited, and crash reports, to improve reliability and performance.
Device information
We collect your device model, operating system version, app version, and device identifiers to provide the Service and troubleshoot issues.
Log data
When you use our website, we may collect IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs.
Information from third parties
Apple and Google
If you subscribe to Morgan AI Pro through the App Store or Google Play, we receive subscription status and purchase history from Apple or Google.
Stripe
We receive identity verification results, account status, and payment processing metadata from Stripe when you enable payment features.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Morgan AI Service
- Process payments, send confirmations, and facilitate payouts through Stripe
- Send invoices and payment reminders on your behalf
- Generate income reports, tax summaries, and business insights
- Verify identity and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, and the Service
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and financial obligations
- Enforce our Terms of Service
We do not use your data for third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:
Stripe (payment processing)
We use Stripe to process card payments, verify identity, and send payouts. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle payment and identity data.
Apple and Google (subscriptions)
If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google processes your payment information under their own privacy policies.
Infrastructure providers
We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers (such as AWS) to host our servers and database. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
Analytics
We use aggregated and de-identified usage data to understand how the app is being used. Personally identifiable information is not included in aggregated analytics.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Morgan AI, our users, or others.
Business transfers
If Morgan AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

4. Your customers' data
When you enter information about your customers into the Service, you are the business responsible for that data. You are responsible for providing any required privacy notices and obtaining any required consents from those individuals. Morgan AI processes that information on your behalf solely to provide the Service, as described in our Terms of Service.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, such as remembering banner preferences and maintaining session state. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect website functionality.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, tax, or payment-processing purposes (such as transaction records required under financial regulations).
7. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@trymorgan.ai.
8. International data transfers
Morgan AI is based in Canada. Your information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to protect personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: update or correct your account information from the app or by contacting us
- Deletion: delete your account, which removes personal information within 30 days subject to legal retention requirements
- Portability: export your financial records (invoices, income, expenses) from within the app
- Opt-out: opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, subject to legal and contractual limits
Canada (PIPEDA)
Canadian residents may contact us to access or correct personal information and to challenge our compliance with applicable privacy law.
United States
Residents of certain US states may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion, subject to exceptions. We do not sell personal information as defined by applicable state laws.

10. Children's privacy
Morgan AI is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us immediately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
