How to take your first payment

Taking your first payment with Morgan AI takes about 30 seconds. Here's exactly how to do it.

Option 1: Tap to Pay (card payment)

This is the fastest way to get paid when your customer is in front of you.

1. 1Open Morgan AI
2. 2Tap the + button on the home screen
3. 3Select Charge
4. 4Type in the amount (e.g. 75.00)
5. 5Optionally add a note or select a customer
6. 6Tap Charge to proceed
7. 7Your phone will show a payment prompt. Have your customer tap their card or phone to the top of your iPhone (near the camera)
8. 8Done. You'll see a confirmation screen and the customer can receive a receipt by email or text

The whole process takes about 15-30 seconds.

Option 2: Send a payment link

If your customer isn't with you, or they want to pay online:

1. 1Tap + and select Payment link
2. 2Enter the amount and a description
3. 3Tap Send: choose to share by message, email, or copy the link
4. 4Your customer follows the link and pays by card on their phone or computer

You'll get a notification when the payment is complete.

Option 3: Record a cash or e-transfer payment

If a customer pays you by cash or e-transfer:

1. 1Tap + and select Record payment
2. 2Enter the amount, payment method, and customer name
3. 3Tap Save

This keeps all your income in one place, even if the payment didn't go through the app.

After your first payment

Check the Income tab. You'll see your payment there. If you have a bank account connected, the payout will arrive in 1-2 business days.
